John Jacobsen
Managing Director
Mr. Jacobsen is a Managing Director of Artemis and Counsel of CRE Legal Advisors. Mr. Jacobsen joined Artemis/CRE Legal Advisors in September 2017 and is based in metropolitan Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Artemis/CRE Legal, Mr. Jacobsen was an associate at Arnold & Porter, where his law practice focused on the representation of owners and developers in the acquisition, financing, development, management, leasing and disposition of commercial properties, with a particular focus on the hospitality industry. Prior to law school, Mr. Jacobsen was an acquisitions associate at Walton Street Capital.

Mr. Jacobsen received his BS in Hotel Administration (with a concentration in Real Estate Development & Finance) from Cornell University, MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and his JD from the University of California Berkeley. Mr. Jacobsen is a fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and has served as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C., in addition to teaching courses on real estate transactions and law at various other law schools and universities in the United States and abroad.
