Mr. Slatko is a Senior Vice President responsible for corporate operations at Artemis. Mr. Slatko returned to Artemis in December 2024 and is based in Washington, DC.

Prior to Artemis, Mr. Slatko was appointed to serve as Senior Advisor for Strategy, Operations and Engagement to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. In that role, he advised the Secretary on various issues including strategic engagement with c-suite leadership across U.S. industry and external affairs for the implementation of the President’s Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Slatko also worked closely with the Economic Development Administration on mobilizing private capital to invest alongside the government’s $10 billion Tech Hubs program, a novel approach to building regional innovation ecosystems funded by the CHIPS and Science Act. He joined the Office of the Secretary as Deputy Director for Public Engagement and was responsible for the Secretary’s stakeholder communication across major Administration initiatives.

Mr. Slatko was previously a Vice President at Artemis designing and scaling emerging corporate functions and programs, including ESG and corporate responsibility, internal and external communications, technology modernization and cybersecurity, and talent management infrastructure. He joined Artemis in 2016 as Chief of Staff to the CEO. Prior to Artemis, Mr. Slatko started his career as an appointee to the Office of U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker. Mr. Slatko earned a BA in Political Science from American University.
